Dogged ambition. Kaley Cuoco is known for starring on The Big Bang Theory and The Flight Attendant—and for her love of animals as a dog owner and equestrian. So as the actor considered opportunities for her own brand, she knew right away which category she wanted to be in: pet care.
Cuoco’s new pet care brand Oh Norman! launches today, five months after it was first announced. The brand raised $3 million in funding from investors including Midnight Venture Partners, Everywhere Ventures, and Freedom Trail Capital, Fortune is the first to report. It’s led by Cuoco’s cofounder and CEO Katie Hunt, a former chief brand officer for the dating app Hinge and an early Warby Parker employee.
Oh Norman! is named for Cuoco’s late dog Norman; her production company also carries the animal’s name. For now, the startup sells only products for dogs, although Hunt and Cuoco say they want to expand to products for other animals. The first products include dog bowls and placemats, as well as two $35 liquid supplements to stop itching and support calm behavior in dogs. The company plans to donate a portion of sales to animal rescue organizations.
Cuoco’s ultimate goal, she told me over Zoom yesterday, is to build “the Honest Company for pets,” a safe-ingredient-focused pet brand inspired by Jessica Alba’s baby care line.
The comparison has some potential. The baby care and nutrition industries were transformed as ingredient-conscious millennials became parents, and millennials are also known for caring for their pets like children. Today, however, pet ownership rates have stabilized after the pandemic’s surge, and pet owners have been hit hard by inflation.
Oh Norman! is Cuoco’s first brand of her own and represents the first time she was involved in the fundraising process. “This is a whole new thing for me,” she says. “I was like, ‘Is this what Shark Tank feels like?’”
She leaves running the business to Hunt, but she’s a hands-on founder in other ways. Cuoco ate the brand’s melatonin-and-chamomile calming supplement called “Calm the eff down!” before she gave it to her dog. (She now has four rescue dogs on her ranch in southern California.) “I was fine,” she says. “In fact, I was very relaxed.”
The pet care industry is on track to become a $500 billion market globally by 2030 and reach $200 billion in the U.S. by that time, according to Bloomberg Intelligence.
“When you pair that growth in the pet space with such an authentic voice with such a large following”—Cuoco has 7.9 million Instagram followers—“It’s hard to dispute there’s going to be traction,” Hunt says. Combine those forces with the “millennial female shopper who is looking for products that don’t exist on the market and is actively already involved with Kaley, following her career” and “you can actually change the market.”

Kaley Cuoco is loving family life with 6-month-old daughter Matilda and partner Tom Pelphrey! She dishes with “Extra’s” Terri Seymour on plans for her daughter’s first Halloween, plus her new passion project created for her late dog Norman. Kaley also talks about her upcoming play with Tom called “Love Kills.”
Kaley Cuoco is reflecting on the memory of two TV icons. The actress and animal advocate shared with Access Hollywood how she still holds the memory of late friend and former co-star John Ritter close, now 20 years after his unexpected passing. “Everyone knows how much I adored him and the fact that it’s been about 20 years is out of control. He was such a special person in my life,” Kaley said. And, Kaley praises the late Suzanne Somers for her trailblazing efforts to raise awareness about equal pay for women in Hollywood and shares how she believes the pals are now “reuniting” after their respective losses. Kaley also raves about new motherhood with baby girl Matilda and how the infant is “obsessed” with dad Tom Pelphrey, and she jokes that she and the actor forgot to include themselves in their Halloween plans with their little girl! And, Kaley beams about her new pet care brand Oh Norman! and how she’s grateful for the opportunity to give back to pets in need while paying tribute to her own beloved late pup. Oh Norman! products are available now.
The “Big Bang Theory” alum caught up with E! News to discuss her new pet care brand ‘Oh Norman!’ inspired by her late dog. She also dishes on family life with partner Tom Pelphrey and their daughter Matilda.
Kaley Cuoco opens up about her daughter Matilda’s ‘obsession’ for animals in this exclusive ET interview. She also explains what it’s really like working with boyfriend Tom Pelphrey.
It wasn’t exactly a stretch for Kaley Cuoco to create a pet care brand.
Her company, Yes, Norman Productions, was already named after her beloved rescue dog, a pit bull mix who died in January 2021 at the age of 14. “We call it your heart dog, right? Yeah, Norman changed my life,” Cuoco, 37, tells PEOPLE. “This dog was just my heart for years and years and years. He’d been through divorce with me, changes in my career. I mean, the amount of times I would cry with this dog. He just saved my life.”
Inspired by his unconditional love, Cuoco is now launching her pet care brand, Oh, Norman!, featuring eco-friendly, durable, and safe pet products. The initial launch includes liquid supplements, dog bowls, dog placemats, and matching human and dog sweatshirts.
“Listen, I am simply a dog/pet lover. I was excited to come out with products that were obviously cute, that were affordable, but also eco-friendly, healthy, good for the dogs, good for the owner, easy to clean, easy, easy, easy,” she explains. “I have many dogs coming in and out of my house, so things need to be easy. They need to be able to fall and not break. I need to be able to wash stuff. So it was clean, organic, fantastic, eco-friendly products and I’m very proud of that.”
At home with her boyfriend, actor Tom Pelphrey, and their 6-month-old daughter Matilda, Cuoco has a menagerie of four rescue dogs: Ruby, Opal, King, and Blue. Exposing the pack of pups to Matilda was an immediate priority for the couple.
“Oh my God, she got thrown to the wolves literally,” Cuoco says, laughing. “After she was born, I’m like, ‘If this child doesn’t like dogs, I might have to send her back. There’s no choice. This is your life. This is it.’ They have jumped on her. They have crawled across her. We have let them lick her, kiss her. Our pediatrician was like, ‘It’s okay.’ So they love her so much.”
The actress also felt it was necessary to test all of Oh, Norman!’s products on her own animals before the launch. “Yes, Calm the F down came from one of my dogs who is just so anxiety-ridden in the car,” she says. “I rarely put her in the car anymore because she hates it, but when I have to take her to the vet or whatever, I would constantly be like, ‘Oh my God, calm the f–k down.’ And we were naming the products, and I’m like, ‘Guys, we have to name this for what it is.’ It’s so good. I’ve noticed a difference. It completely takes the edge off.”
Most importantly, Cuoco wanted to make sure a portion of the company’s profits would go to animal rescue organizations. “That is the best part about this. I was thinking, ‘What’s going to set you apart? Why would someone buy my product over someone else’s?’ To me, if you know a portion of this is actually going to animal rescue, you’re going for that one.”
The new venture is also a way of keeping memories of Norman vivid in her mind. After his death, “I was like, ‘Oh my God, I have to have this dog remembered for the rest of our lives,'” Cuoco adds. “He’s so special to me, and he’s so alive to me. I still talk about him all the time.”
The actress and Pelphrey will next be joining others to raise money for IATSE Members with Love Kills, a night of one-act plays by Don Nigro. The event will run Nov. 15-18 at the Colony Theater in Burbank.

Actress and animal advocate Kaley Cuoco recently announced the launch of Oh Norman!, her new pet care brand committed to creating eco friendly, durable and safe products. Inspired by Cuoco’s love for her late dog Norman, the brand will redefine the pet care industry through curated collections of sustainably-minded, high-quality products developed to tackle the everyday challenges faced by owners.
Available now, Oh Norman! is launching its first limited-edition capsule collection of ethically sourced, clean products that include two liquid supplements, “Oh Norman! Stop Effing Itching!” and “Calm the Eff Down!,” as well as dog bowls, dog placemats and matching human and dog sweatshirts. Future collections will begin rolling out later this year, with products supporting pets and their owners through the development of trustworthy and environmentally conscious products. Driven by Cuoco’s own love for animals and experience as a dog mom to five rescues, Oh Norman! will donate a portion of its sales to rescue organizations on the frontline that are making a difference in the lives of animals.
“My beloved, hilarious dog Norman’s unconditional love inspired me to create this company” said Cuoco, the popular actress, animal advocate and co-founder of Oh Norman!. “As a pet parent, I wanted our products to be safe, sustainably-made, and beautifully designed to support and celebrate our best friends and the joy they bring us. By creating products with them and the planet in mind, I know we can give them the best, because they deserve the best.”
Oh Norman!’s initial collection brings four clever and playful categories to the market, including:
DOG AND HUMAN SWEATSHIRTS: These high-quality, organic cotton sweatshirts come in two fun matching designs for both owner and dog to enjoy. Sourced from a family-owned farm in Peru, these sweatshirts are ethically and sustainably made.
LIQUID SUPPLEMENTS: These two new supplements support dogs’ overall well-being with high-quality, effective and natural ingredients. Both supplements are manufactured in the U.S.A. and reviewed by board certified veterinary specialists.
DOG PLACEMATS: These thoughtfully designed and eco-friendly placemats are made with organic cotton and a recycled rubber bottom to ensure they stay in place. They are both stain and water resistant.
DOG BOWLS: These dishwasher safe, eco-friendly bowls are made from 39 percent wood, making them more sustainable than plastic yet just as durable. Each bowl features a rubber bottom to prevent slipping.
“Based on a True Story” has been renewed for Season 2 at Peacock.
The eight-episode first season of the dark comedy debuted on the streaming service in June. It starred Kaley Cuoco, Chris Messina, Tom Bateman, Priscilla Quintana, Liana Liberato, Natalia Dyer, and more.
The show is a satire of the true crime genre with elements loosely inspired by real events. The official description of Season 1 states that it is about “Ava (Cuoco) and her husband Nathan (Messina), a down-on-their-luck couple, whose lives collide with an infamous serial killer terrorizing Los Angeles and seize a unique opportunity to capitalize on America’s obsession with true crime by making a podcast with the killer.”
Craig Rosenberg created the series and serves as showrunner and executive producer. Cuoco executive produces in addition to starring. Jason Bateman and Michael Costigan also executive produce via Aggregate Films, with Roxie Rodriguez of Aggregate and Melissa Blake co-executive producing. Alex Buono directed the first and last episodes of Season 1 and served as an executive producer on the season. UCP is the studio.

Kaley Cuoco, Tom Pelphrey, Briana Cuoco, Midori Francis, Rebecca Mozo and Justin Chatwin are set to star in the play Love Kills, a special event that will see all proceeds going towards IATSE members who have been impacted by the strikes.
Based on the one-act plays by Don Nigro, the event will run November 15-18 at the Colony Theater in Burbank.
Kevin Kittle is directing with Cara Christian producing. Justin Huen will be the technical director, with Dana Schwartz serving as stage manager.
The plays explore all the ways that “love can be deadly,” and they are shared like campfire ghost stories; full of suspense and atmosphere, infused with humor and a few winks at the audience. As with most of Nigro’s plays, they are a celebration of storytelling, and hopefully a reminder of the simple magic that can be created with a writer, a couple actors, a few stools, and a talented crew.
Performing Binorrie will be Francis and Rebecca Mozo; performing Lurker will be Chatwin and Briana Cuoco; and performing Fair Rosamund and her Murderer will be Kaley Cuoco and Pelphrey.
