Travel is important to Kaley Cuoco, and there’s one recent trip that’s close to her heart.

In behind-the-scenes footage from the actress’ new “Go to Your Happy Price” campaign for Priceline, she reflects on her “happy place.”

“I just traveled to New Jersey to see my partner’s family and it was the greatest thing ever,” she says.

Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey began dating in early 2022 and welcomed their first child together, daughter Matilda, in March 2023.

While on the Priceline shoot in Southern California, the Flight Attendant star, 38, also reflected on the joy of taking vacations with loved ones.

“You make memories,” she says. “You make family memories, or whoever you’re traveling with. It’s going on romantic vacations, you’re taking your kids places, and it should be available to everybody.”

What other destinations are on Cuoco’s wish list?

“I actually would really like to go to Japan,” she says. “I hear it’s absolutely beautiful. I hear the shopping’s amazing.”

Cuoco’s Priceline campaign, which features the actress on various scenic trips, premiered with a 15-second spot, titled “All of the Deals,” during a Jan. 20 NFL game. Another 30-second ad will run during the Grammy Awards on Feb. 4.

Kaley Cuoco insists she hasn’t always been one to cry easily.

But becoming a mom to her 8-month-old daughter Matilda with partner Tom Pelphrey changed that tune entirely.

“Tom and I were sitting with Matilda the other day, and she was literally staring at us, and she touched both of our faces, and just gave us this innocent, just really joyful, ‘Hi’ smile,” Cuoco, 38, tells PEOPLE for this week’s issue.

“I mean, I could cry right now,” she continues. “We both looked at each other and we started tearing up. He goes, ‘Is this our life now, where we just cry at everything she does?’ ”

The former Big Bang Theory star recently shared a sweet video on her Instagram Story to kick off the holidays — her daughter’s first Thanksgiving. Cuoco, who next stars in the Prime Video film Role Play, sat with Matilda on her lap, repeating the word “mama” as the infant giggled and squirmed. The actress then turned to look at something else for a second, and Matilda said, “Mmmm … mama mama mama.” In response, the proud mom was completely shocked: “Mama?! What?! You just said Mama! What was that?” and planted kisses all over her baby girl.

Cuoco, who just launched her line of eco-friendly dog products, Oh Norman!, spoke to PEOPLE in October about her daughter also bonding with their four dogs rescue dogs, Ruby, Opal, King and Blue.

“Oh my God, she got thrown to the wolves literally,” Cuoco said. “After she was born, I’m like, ‘If this child doesn’t like dogs, I might have to send her back. There’s no choice. This is your life. This is it.’ ”

She added, “They have jumped on her. They have crawled across her. We have let them lick her, kiss her. Our pediatrician was like, ‘It’s okay.’ So they love her so much.”

Kaley Cuoco and Tom Pelphrey were a week into their relationship when they heard someone call the name “Matilda.”

“We looked at each other and it was like, ‘Would it be crazy to say if we had a baby we’d name her Matilda?’” Cuoco tells TODAY.com in an interview. “You know when you first start dating and you’re so obsessed, and you’re planning your future children. It was that sort of thing.”

Cuoco and “Ozark” star Pelphrey met at the red carpet premiere of the Netflix drama in April 2022. Six months later, the couple announced they were expecting their first child together.

“When we got pregnant and we learned we were having a girl, we were like, ‘Oh my God — we have the name,” Cuoco recalls. “We actually kept her name a complete secret until she was born.”

“And it’s so her. She’s such a Matilda,” Cuoco adds.

Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey came into the world on March 30. “We are overjoyed and grateful for this little miracle,” Cuoco wrote on Instagram at the time.

“Tommypelphrey, didn’t think I could fall even more in love with you, but I did,” she added.

The “Flight Attendant” actor says she was happy with her child-free life until she met Pelphrey. During a conversation with Emmy Magazine in May, Cuoco said that motherhood had been “not a goal of mine.”

“As a young girl I dreamed of it, but I became involved in my career,” she explained. Then, Pelphrey came along and everything changed. Suddenly, she said, all she wanted was a baby.

“It was instantaneous, ‘Oh my God, I want to have a kid with you,’” she recalled.

Matilda, now 7 months old, could follow in her parents’ footsteps and pursue an acting career.

“It’s in her genes; I don’t know how she won’t,” Cuoco told Emmy Magazine. “The child already thinks she’s the star of everything.”

Cuoco opened up exclusively to TODAY.com about Matilda’s name while promoting her partnership with Brooks Running. The “Big Bang Theory” alum credits the brand’s Ghost Max series for relieving her foot pain.

“I worked out late into my pregnancy and my feet started hurting aggressively. I would go to bed crying at night. And my partner, Tom, has been wearing Brooks for years, and he was like, ‘Dude, you need to get on the Brooks train,’” Cuoco says. “Well, I bought my first pair and it was a game changer. Now it’s all I wear. They saved my feet.”

Earlier this year, Cuoco revealed she was suffering from “Mommy wrist” or “mommy thumb,” officially known as de Quervain tenosynovitis. The condition occurs with repetitive movements such as lifting, carrying or nursing an infant, according to the Mayo Clinic.
